Along the beach road you can find about 50 different restaurants and they are not tourist like. You will have a fantastic food experience from the domestic sea food kitchen. It's a great feeling to sit under the reed roofs and experience the scent of chili, curry, lime mixed with the topical nature and the sea. And prices are always minimal. |
Next to Blue Mango you have the International Restaurant Amadeus that serve Scandinavian and Thai food in a class of it self.
The market place in Mae Phim is different than in the big cities, not a lot of copy's etc.
It's a charming place to meet the local people offering what's needed for the daily
Life: textile's, tool's cloths, bags etc. It's a true experience of the genuine Thailand
to go strolling about the market place. |

Right outside Mae Phim and Rayong is Koh Samet located this magnificent isle with white as chalk sand and swaying palm trees have some of Thailand's best beaches to be found here. You can't find much traffic as Koh Samet is classified as a national park. |
Diamond Sand Beach is the most popular, here you find bungalows and many restaurants Take of your sandals take a walk along the beach eat a great sea food meal and watch the sunset and just lean back and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
This little group of 3 isles: Koh Man Nai, Koh Man Klang and Koh Man Nok have been preserved exceptional and have great coral reefs.
The smallest isle, Mann Nai is only 100 meters wide it's a sea turtel reserve that is supported by the queen of Thailand.

The small fishing village has great sea food and nice shopping. Boats go from here regularly to the isles around as Koh Samet.
14 km from Mae Phim you find the small city Klaeng that have markets, shopping centers, and all the traditional shops, furniture's , banks, hospitals etc.

Around Rayong you will find nice excursion places, going up to the mountains and walking in the jungle discover fantastic water falls, enormous under earth caves and many temples. |
In about 2 hours from Mae Phim you will find the lost paradise, located on the tropical island of Koh Chang surrounded by Gulf of Thailand.
With white sand beaches, waterfalls, coral reefs and an archipelago of more than 50 islands, un crowded Koh Chang is a real tropical paradise. Thailand's second largest island. Mangroves and beach forest line the shores, and the whole island supports a huge diversity of wildlife.
